The Penn Carnage III West Coast/Fathom II 2-Speed Lever Drag Rod & Reel Combos are the epitome of high performance, providing a compact, yet, powerful rod and reel combination. This combo brings together the Penn Carnage III West Coast Conventional Rod and the Penn Fathom II Lever Drag 2 speed reel. The Carnage III is constructed with Penn’s SLS3 design, using inner and outer, spiral wrapped, carbon fiber to sandwich middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass. The SLS3 design gives the rod blank a thinner diameter while maintaining strength and features premium Fuji ring guides.

Complementing the Carnage III is the all new Fathom II Lever Drag 2 Speed reel. The Fathom II features a one-piece, machined, aluminum frame and sideplate, and sports a 5 bearing, stainless steel bearing system. The drag type is Penn’s Dura-Drag system, providing smoothness and longevity with the new Dura-Drag washers. To eliminate accidental drag changes, the Fathom II features a Pull-To-Turn Preset Knob. At it’s core is a stainless steel main and pinion gear, and a forged and machined aluminum spool, keeping the Fathom II lightweight, yet durable.
