Avet Reels Avet MXJ G2 6/4 Magic Cast Two Speed Reels

A narrow version of the Avet MX reels, the Avet MXJ G2 (Generation 2) 6/4 Magic Cast Two Speed Reels are designed to fill in the gap between the original MX and the Raptors. With a 40% increase in drag output over the original MX with 13 lb. at strike and 20 lb at full drag, this is a beast of a reel. The narrow models are designed for fishing styles that requires a lot of casting and retrieving. More stable while retrieving because the handle is closer to the center of mass, which reduces cranking wobble. The built in Magic Cast system is an adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system that prevent line overrun and “birds’ nests” while casting. The system achieves this by interrupting the magnetic field generated by the spinning spool during cast, which creates a braking effect that is proportional to the speed of the spin.
